We connect students, faculty, staff, and parents through hands-on learning experiences—in and outside the classroom. Our garden and project locations include:

• CHESTERFIELD COUNTY: Beulah Elementary, Evergreen Elementary, E. Scott Elementary, Bellwood Elementary

We ensure that a maintenance plan is in place–and engage the children in the process through regular programming! Kindergarteners love organic gardens, because that means they get to pick the bugs off the plants themselves rather than rely on pesticides. Middle schoolers get a thrill out of transplanting—especially when they can turn the fruits of their labors into a fundraiser for field trips. Parents and teachers enjoy watching their students grow as quickly as the seeds they plant.

Franklin Military Academy students were more than eager to build their own garden, thanks to a grant from one of our corporate partners.

With direct supervision and proper instruction, seventh graders can use power tools and employ basic carpentry skills to build their own composting unit for a school garden.

Students use alternative technologies to create micro-climates for different plants, which will be grown and sold as part of a school fundraiser.
